Pittsburgh International looking for ‘ambassador’ linguists

Well, maybe you don’t speak German, Icelandic or Chinese. But those aren’t the only languages of interest to officials at Pittsburgh International Airport as they seek to recruit more multilingual volunteers to greet international travelers.

The “ambassadors” would guide newcomers through the terminal, host visitors in the airport’s Military Lounge, assist with public announcements, and help customers in Baggage Claim, according to a release issued from the airport Tuesday.
